Friday 7 June = opening night for the HEROES exhibit at Newport’s own Library Arts Center!  LIVE FREE AND DRAW debuts the latest Esther Hill Hawks poster in this community-wide open show, along with a couple other posters from featured stories like the Civil War Diary of Freeman Colby.

Each poster is available for sale as a color print, either framed ($40) or unframed ($20), with sales supporting the Library Art Center’s programming.  As in our previous Doctor Hawks museum showing, free mini-comics will be available alongside the posters while supplies last.  (I have one other poster in the show, but it features dragons instead of NH history, so I’m not posting it on this site… Suffice to say, each copy sold will include an original hand-drawn dragon-monster for you to challenge or befriend!)

Also, the organizers of the show invite all visitors to contribute their own original art along the HEROES theme, so bring your favorite hero images… or your favorite art-making tools, and prepare to be inspired!
